About me.... Education/Experience

Being raised in Idaho, I graduated from Boise State University in 1978 with a BA in Marketing.  In 1981, I became a Realtor in North Carolina.  I attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and obtained my GRI designation (Graduate Realtors Insitute) and also obtained my Broker's License.   I moved to Texas and became a licensed Broker, then moved to Sacramento where I got my real estate license in 1986.   I continued my education and got my California Broker's license in 1993.

Professional Involvement

I believe in being very active in my profession and staying involved.  I believe it is an asset to not only myself, but to my clients.  I have served on the Sacramento Association, California Association, and National Association of Realtors board of directors for numerous years.  I have also served on various committees and was the President of the Sacramento Association of Realtors in 2006.  I also served as vice-chair for the legislative committee for the California Association of Realtors.  I am probably proudest, though, of being named "Realtor of the Year" for 2006.

My focus is service to my clients, but results matter.   I have been a member of the "Master' Club" , typically the top 4-5% of the local Realtors, since my arrival in Sacramento.   Thus, I am very proud to be an Outstanding Life Member of the Master's Club.

All work and no play is not a good thing!  So, as a means of staying fit and sane, I am a runner.  I have completed numerous marathons (including the five "World Major Marathons"--- Boston, New York, Chicago, London, and Berlin)  and do most of my training on the beautiful American River Parkway--- one of Sacramento's finest assets. I am currently on the Sacramento Running Association board of directors which puts on the California International Marathon every December since 1983, and other events throughout the year.  I am a former member of the Buffalo Chips Running Club board of directors.  And to help keep the parkway clean, Bill and I are volunteer stewards of mile 13 on the American River Parkway.

Bill and I also enjoy hiking, backpacking, skiing (I am a former member of the National Ski Patrol), and traveling whenever we get the chance!

We also are very active in our 356 Porsche car club.  We have restored one car (1956 356), and also have a great "driver" (1963 356).  We enjoy attending and participating in cars shows, but mostly enjoy going on pretty drives with our friends.

We have two daughters---  Melanie who is married and living in Boston with her husband Craig (they just bought their first home!!), and Dayna who is moving to Australia to get her master's degree.
